Errant Signal går tillbaka till sin och modern gamings barndom för att undersöka en av världens most cherished gaming artifacts och dess relevans i dagens spelklimat utifrån design sensibilities och politiskt klimat. Dagens slutsats: today's political context gives the original Deus Ex storyline with its' focus on taking conspiracy theories at face-value a different gravitas than back at the end of the cyberpunkian end of the century when it was "just fiction", but ironically it makes it harder to take seriously than when it was just balls-out bonkers.
